We’re looking for a Support Worker to provide 1:1 support in a SIL environment, helping people build confidence, learn recent skills and enjoy a day doing the things they love.

As a Support Worker with Kanda, you’ll help people with disability live life on their own terms, make their own choices and feel confident in their abilities. One day you might be out in the community trying something new. The next, you might be helping with everyday tasks at home, having a good chat or supporting someone towards a personal goal.

No two people are the same, and no two days need to be either.

About the role

You’ll support participants in a SIL home, helping to keep it safe, structured and therapeutic. Your day-to-day will include:

- Positive behaviour support for participants with complex needs and high behaviours of concern

- Meal preparation and household tasks

- Accurately documenting participant progress, incidents and support provided

You will ideally have:

- At least 2 years' experience in disability support,



aged care or community services.

- SIL experience supporting people with Autism (ASD), including occasional complex behaviours
- A calm, consistent approach, with confidence following structured routines, as the client thrives on consistency

- Strong communication skills
- An interest in fitness or an active lifestyle (highly desirable)

- Flexible availability and open to doing sleepover shifts

Essential requirements

- Current Australian driver's licence (minimum P2).

- Current Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain the required checks.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these.

- Current Australian working rights.
