We're looking for a Support Worker to provide 1:1 support in a community, helping build confidence, learn a new skill or simply enjoy a day doing the things they love.

You'll support people with disability to live life on their own terms, make their own choices and feel confident in their abilities. Some days might involve heading out into the community, trying something new or enjoying a favourite activity.

Other days might be about providing practical support at home, sharing a conversation or helping someone work towards a personal goal.

No two people are the same, and no two days need to be either.

About the role

You’ll support people with disability to live independently in their own homes and take part in their community, whether that’s a morning routine at home or an afternoon out. Your day-to-day will include:

- Personal care and daily living support

- Meal preparation and light household tasks

- Supporting participants to access the community, including outings, shopping, social activities and appointments

- Helping participants build skills, confidence and independence

- Accurately documenting participant progress, incidents and support provided

About you

You don't need to have worked in disability support before. What matters most is your attitude, your values and your willingness to learn. Your experience could come from anywhere. You might have worked in hospitality, retail, customer service, education, aged care, healthcare or another people-focused role. You may be returning to work, changing careers or simply looking for a more rewarding way to spend your working day.

We're looking for people who:

- Are compassionate, patient and genuinely enjoy helping others.

- Respect individual choices, differences and the right of every person to live life on their own terms.

- Are reliable, responsible and willing to learn new skills.

- Communicate well and build positive relationships with people from different backgrounds.

- Can follow instructions, respect boundaries and maintain confidentiality.

- Are comfortable assisting with personal care and everyday living tasks, with appropriate training and guidance.

- Can work independently when trained, while knowing when to ask for help.

Essential requirements

- Current Australian driver's licence (minimum P2).

- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain the required checks.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these.

- Australian working rights.

Ready to make a difference?

You don't need to change the whole world to make a difference. Sometimes, it starts with helping one person feel supported, respected and more independent.

If you're ready to learn, grow and be part of a team that makes a positive difference in the community, we'd love to hear from you.
