This independent Darwin practice is looking for a Tax Accountant to join its tax team, taking on a client base shaped by defence contracting, construction, hospitality and the businesses supporting Northern Australia’s growth.

THE ROLE:

Sitting within the tax team, you will manage a portfolio of business and private clients, with a mix of compliance work and technical tax advice.

- Prepare tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

- Research and resolve technical tax queries, including Div 7A, CGT and trust distribution issues

- Complete BAS, FBT and other statutory lodgements

- Liaise with the ATO on client reviews, rulings and payment arrangements





- Assist with tax planning and structuring advice for business owners

- Build lasting relationships with a loyal local client base

THE INDIVIDUAL:

- CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards it

- Solid experience in a tax focused role within Australian public practice

- Solid technical knowledge across multiple entity types

- Curious and thorough, with a genuine interest in getting the answer right

- Confident dealing with clients and the ATO directly
