Job responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain modern dairy milking systems and related equipment.
- Observe livestock health and behaviour, promptly reporting any issues or concerns.
- Detect and report machinery faults, breakdowns, or operational problems.
- Accurately record farm data, including milk yields, vat temperatures, and herd numbers.
- Maintain detailed farm records and utilise computer-based farm management systems.
- Implement effective animal care and husbandry practices as part of daily operations.
- Operate farm machinery and carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and adjustments.
- Support artificial insemination programs, fertiliser spreading, and other general farm tasks.
- Clean,
sanitise, and maintain dairy facilities and milking equipment to industry standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth and efficient farm operations.
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements while promoting high animal welfare standards.
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrate practical, hands-on experience in dairy or livestock farming
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Manage workloads efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Maintain the physical capability required to meet the daily demands of farm work
