About Sharon AI
Sharon AI is an Australian neocloud, delivering trusted AI infrastructure organisations need to build, train and run AI at scale. We support customers across the full AI lifecycle, from training through to inference and agentic AI, drawing on a strong ecosystem of technology and co-location partners to deliver capability where it's needed. As the first neocloud to join NVIDIA's AI Compute Program, we're growing quickly, scaling our AI Factory platform to meet rising demand for advanced compute.
The Role
As Sharon AI continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Technical Project Manager to join our PMO team and play an important role in delivering Sharon AI's internal technology projects, systems, and platforms, reporting to our Head of PMO.
In this role, the Technical Project Manager will bring structure, clarity, and accountability to project delivery, overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives and ensuring they are properly scoped, resourced, scheduled, and delivered on time. You'll work closely with engineering, operations, business teams, and leadership, with exposure to cutting-edge technology at the forefront of AI infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end delivery of internal technology projects, from initial request and scoping through to implementation, adoption, and close.
- Deliver new and improved business systems and tools, such as business operations systems, HR systems, dashboards, portals, and observability tools.
- Plan and track delivery in Jira, managing epics, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Work alongside the CTO and business stakeholders to capture requirements, prioritise the project pipeline, and ensure technical requirements align with business needs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, business teams, vendors, and external partners, to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Run vendor and tool selection processes, including RFI, RFP, and procurement,
and manage ongoing supplier delivery.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where required to minimise impact.
- Plan rollouts, change management, training, and user adoption so that new systems and tools are effectively used and supported.
- Track project performance and milestones, providing clear reporting and updates to the CTO, leadership, and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement, refining delivery processes and contributing to best-practice project management across the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years’ experience in a technical project management role, preferably within technology, infrastructure, cloud, or software environments.
- Strong delivery planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource forecasting capability.
- Hands-on technical background in infrastructure or engineering (for example systems, network, cloud, or platform engineering) across more than one technology stack.
- Deep understanding across multiple technology stacks to confidently challenge and validate technical scope with engineers.
- Strong Jira capability, including roadmaps, boards, and reporting analytics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across engineers, technical teams, and executives.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain a proactive, outcome-focused approach in a fast-paced environment where everything may not be fully defined yet.
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- A genuine interest in AI, technology, and what Sharon AI is building.
Nice to have:
- Technical certifications in infrastructure, cloud, or networking (for example AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, CCNA, or CKA/CKAD).
- Project management or Agile certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum.
- Demonstrated experience implementing business systems, SaaS tools, dashboards, or portals, including vendor management.
- Exposure to AI infrastructure, labs, or data centre environments.
