About the role An established telecommunications business is expanding its field capacity and is looking for an experienced independent telecommunications contracting business to take on pre-sold, pre-booked residential work across Perth's southern suburbs. This prospect is suited to a capable one- or two-person contracting business that wants a reliable source of additional booked work without having to generate every lead, quote every customer or collect every payment themselves.

Key responsibilities

- Complete residential data and Ethernet cabling installations

- Install NBN fibre pathways and perform internal fibre relocations

- Install Starlink systems

- Install UniFi and Wi-Fi access points

- Perform communications trenching and pathways work

- Conduct fault diagnosis and related telecommunications work

- Provide completion photographs, relevant test results, equipment details and required cabling certification

- Communicate confidently and respectfully with residential customers

- Protect the customer's property and solve practical onsite problems

- Complete jobs without constant supervision





About you

- Operate through a Pty Ltd company and be GST registered

- Hold a current Open Cabling Registration with Structured Cabling and Optical Fibre competencies appropriate to the work you accept

- Carry current $20 million Public & Products Liability insurance

- Have your own suitable vehicle, ladders, telecommunications tools, testers, PPE and normal trade consumables

- Work independently and communicate confidently with residential customers

- Provide good documentation and clear job-closeout information

- Hold appropriate Western Australian security licensing for CCTV or other security work if undertaking that work

- Be technically capable, reliable and very good with residential customers

- Communicate early when a job changes and take responsibility when something goes wrong

- Honour customer bookings once accepted and scheduled except for genuine safety, weather, customer, illness or emergency issues
