The Role

We're looking for an experienced Test and Evaluation Engineer to coordinate and deliver Test and Evaluation (T&E;) activities for a Defence program in Victoria, while also supporting an integration team. This is a self-driven role that works across both T&E; and engineering, and across several teams, so the engineering and technical artefacts stay aligned with the program's technical and commercial intent.

You'll work closely with the project manager, stakeholders and commercial partners. You'll contribute to the design, testing and installation of communications systems onto platforms, build a strong understanding of the existing equipment and integration work, and give high-quality T&E; and engineering advice to support future work, platform upgrades and capability decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and deliver assigned T&E; activities, and support an integration team
- Develop, review and maintain Test and Evaluation Strategies,



Test and Evaluation Master Plans and associated T&E; artefacts
- Conduct or support preview, developmental, acceptance, operational and in-service T&E; in line with Defence requirements
- Execute system T&E; or trial activities, and produce high-quality T&E; reports and technical assessments
- Manage risk and perform verification and validation (V&V;) to ensure compliance with system, safety and performance requirements
- Undertake complex systems engineering tasks under limited direction, including technical certification plans and engineering documentation
- Perform mechanical engineering duties, including CAD modelling and design review, and contribute to developing, analysing and integrating engineering solutions
- Contribute to the design, testing and installation of communications systems onto platforms
- Give informed T&E; and engineering advice to support work take-ons, platform upgrades and capability decisions

Required

- Defence T&E; experience across the capability lifecycle, including preview, developmental, acceptance, operational and in-service T&E;
- Experience developing Test and Evaluation Strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plans and associated artefacts
- Mechanical engineering experience, including CAD modelling and design review
- Systems engineering experience, including technical certification plans and engineering documentation




- Experience in verification and validation, and risk management
- Experience executing trials and producing T&E; reports and technical assessments
- Understanding of Defence T&E; frameworks, policies, processes and governance obligations
- Experience integrating or installing communications systems onto platforms highly regarded
