About Vacupack
Vacupack is a Melbourne-based manufacturer of food packaging, supplying a range of major customers. Our Moorabbin site operates injection moulding, thermoforming and extrusion equipment.
We’re looking for a capable, motivated Tool Setter / Machine Troubleshooter to help keep our production equipment running safely and efficiently.
The role
You’ll carry out tooling changes, support machine setups and troubleshoot faults that affect production performance or product quality. Working closely with operators, supervisors and maintenance staff, you’ll help resolve problems, reduce downtime and support reliable production.
Proven experience troubleshooting production machinery is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out tooling changes and machine setups safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve machine faults and processing issues.
- Support production start-ups, changeovers and machine restarts.
- Identify recurring problems and help implement corrective actions.
- Work with maintenance staff on faults requiring further technical support.
- Communicate faults, actions taken and outstanding issues clearly between shifts.
- Follow site safety,
quality and production procedures.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience troubleshooting machinery in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with machine setup, tool setting or changeovers.
- Experience with injection moulding, thermoforming or extrusion equipment would be highly regarded.
- A methodical approach to fault finding and confidence responding to production problems.
- Initiative, adaptability and the ability to work effectively with others.
- A strong commitment to safe work and consistent product quality.
- Current work rights allowing full-time employment in Australia.
