Cappro Pacific is currently recruiting an experienced Field Service Technician on behalf of a major international earthmoving equipment OEM based in Edinburgh, South Australia.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing professional field service, maintenance, diagnostics and repair support across a range of major earthmoving equipment.

Working in a field-based capacity, you will travel to customer sites, construction projects, workshops and operational locations throughout your allocated service territory.

You will represent a globally recognised equipment manufacturer, ensuring customers receive the highest level of technical support and aftersales service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Carry out field servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on earthmoving and mobile plant equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine-related faults.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Attend breakdowns and provide timely technical support to customers.
- Undertake component replacements, repairs and general mechanical overhauls.




- Identify faults and provide effective solutions to minimise equipment downtime.
- Complete service reports, job cards and maintenance documentation.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and represent the OEM to the highest standard.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain your service vehicle, tooling and equipment to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU – ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, you must have:





- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology / Mobile Plant Mechanic qualification.
- Proven experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic or Field Service Technician.
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining earthmoving, construction or mining equipment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and diesel engine systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own field service schedule.
- A strong customer service attitude and professional communication skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- A proactive approach to workplace health and safety.

Previous experience with major earthmoving equipment brands will be highly regarded.

LOCATION

Edinburgh, South Australia

This position will be based out of the company's Edinburgh facility, with field service responsibilities supporting customers and equipment operating throughout the region.
