Munster Services Group is looking for a reliable, hardworking Trades Assistant to join our fabrication workshop team in Stapylton.
This is a hands-on role supporting our experienced tradespeople with material preparation, workshop maintenance and the safe handling and use of chemicals.
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a good job and is willing to get involved wherever needed.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare, move and organise materials, tools and equipment.
- Assist with cleaning and general metal preparation.
- Safely handle, use and store workshop chemicals in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), relevant regulations, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Assist with loading, unloading and general workshop duties.
What We're Looking For
- A reliable, punctual person who is comfortable with a 5:00am start.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- A forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undertake training in the safe handling and use of workplace chemicals.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
