About the Role
We are looking for a Trading Strategy / Research Analyst to join our Sydney CBD team.
This role is suitable for someone who has a genuine interest in financial markets and enjoys market research, data analysis, strategy development and backtesting.
Graduate and junior candidates are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research across global financial markets
- Analyse market data and identify potential trading opportunities
- Assist with developing and testing trading strategies
- Perform backtesting and review strategy performance
- Monitor market conditions and major economic events
- Prepare research and performance reports
- Work closely with the trading and risk teams
- Assist with improving existing trading strategies and models
Requirements
- Strong interest in financial markets and trading
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and market data
- Positive attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese is required
- Good written and verbal English
Experience with the following will be highly regarded:
- TradingView
- MT4 / MT5
- Backtesting
- Quantitative or statistical analysis
Candidates from Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Relevant university projects, personal trading research or quantitative projects are also highly regarded.
