About the role

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you will be supported by experienced mentors while studying towards your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent). You'll learn hands-on in a nurturing setting where play, curiosity, and exploration are at the heart of everything we do.

Location: Please note that we are recruiting for trainees at

- Torrens Early Learning centre (in Torrens - south of Woden),
- Urambi Early Learning Centre (in Kambah - near Tuggeranong); and
- Majura Park Childcare Centre (in Majura Park).

Key responsibilities

- Support children's learning through play-based experiences
- Be a positive role model and encourage children's confidence and wellbeing
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment
- Work as part of a supportive and passionate team
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues

- Australian Citizen or permanent resident required to meet eligibility for Australian Trainee
- Must obtain an ACT WWVP card prior to starting
