Mangat Transport Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking experienced and reliable Heavy Vehicle Truck Drivers (HC/HR) to join our transport and logistics operations in Adelaide, South Australia.

The successful applicants will be responsible for transporting commercial freight across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, ensuring safe, efficient and timely deliveries.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Operate Heavy Combination (HC) or Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks to transport commercial freight across South Australia.

- Safely drive and manoeuvre heavy vehicles in accordance with road transport regulations.

- Load and unload freight where required,



ensuring appropriate handling procedures are followed.

- Inspect and secure freight using appropriate load restraint equipment.

- Check freight weights, load distribution and compliance with vehicle load limits.

- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine vehicle safety checks.

- Perform safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers when operating HC vehicles.

- Follow designated transport routes and meet scheduled pickup and delivery requirements.

- Verify delivery documentation, consignment details and freight condition.

- Maintain accurate driver logbooks, delivery records and transport documentation.

- Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements, fatigue management obligations and road safety regulations.

- Identify and report mechanical faults, vehicle defects and maintenance requirements.

- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper care of company equipment.

- Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel, customers and other team members.

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company operational policies.

Qualifications & Experience

- Current and valid Australian Heavy Combination (HC) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence.

- Minimum one (1) year of relevant professional experience operating heavy commercial vehicles.

- Demonstrated experience in freight transportation, distribution or commercial logistics.





- Sound knowledge of Australian heavy vehicle road safety and transport regulations.

- Understanding of load restraint, vehicle weight limits and fatigue management requirements.

- Experience in vehicle inspections and maintaining transport documentation.

- Ability to safely operate and manoeuvre heavy commercial vehicles.

- Good communication, organisational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.

- Strong commitment to workplace safety, reliability and professionalism.

- Willingness to undertake metropolitan and regional deliveries across South Australia as required.
