About the role
Rockmount is recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction supplier servicing the greater Sydney area, based in Matraville. They need a Truck Driver who can get the load there in one piece, on time, and without the customer having to chase it. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity — you'll start on assignment through Rockmount, with a pathway to permanent employment with our client.
What you'll be doing
- Driving a tipper to deliver roofing and rainwater goods to customer sites
- Loading and unloading the truck, and strapping everything down properly so it arrives where it left
- Delivering orders on time and giving customers a hand with loading when needed
- Keeping customers happy by being helpful, not a dead weight
What you'll need
- MR (Medium Rigid) licence
- At least 2 years' experience driving delivery trucks
- Able to strap and secure loads correctly
- Solid knowledge of protected driving practices and road regulations
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, helpful attitude
- Forklift licence (advantageous, not essential)
