Marden Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced, motivated and qualified Medical Receptionist to join the team. Initially, the role will focus on medical reception and the day-to-day administration of the clinic. For the right person, there will be an opportunity to progress into a Second-in-Charge (2IC) position.
Key responsibilities
Providing professional and friendly service to patients, doctors and other staff
Managing patient appointments, enquiries and telephone calls
Processing patient billing, Medicare claims and payments
Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting confidentiality requirements
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Assisting doctors and other team members with administrative requirements
Developing an understanding of practice operations, staff coordination and administrative procedures
As you develop in the role, assisting with the supervision and coordination of staff, and learning the operational and management aspects of running a medical practice
About you
Previous medical reception experience is essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence working in a busy medical practice
A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Initiative, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
Good computer skills and the ability to adapt to practice management software
Discretion and a sound understanding of patient confidentiality
Experience with medical billing, Medicare claiming and medical practice software will be highly regarded
