COOK required for a well-established Australian business “AMYOUN NOMINEES PTY LTD” T/A “CHAPELLI’S” located at 571 Chapel Street, South Yarra VIC 3141. Prospective applicants must have valuable prior experience of working commercially as a COOK in an Italian/Up-to-date Australian cuisine. Duties include.
Preparing various food items from the restaurant’s menu that includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood dishes.
Undertake pre-cooking preparations such as washing, trimming, carving, chopping, peeling, cutting, stirring, mixing, mincing, grilling, and boiling foods such as various meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as per restaurant’s food recipes or personal judgment.
Prepare food according to cultural and dietary needs of the customers.
Portioning the food & seasoning of food using various spices.
Assist chef/head chef in estimating food & labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
Discussing food preparation issues with chef/head chef/manager and other kitchen staff.
Examining of food by tasting it.
Ensuring the food is of high quality and well presented.




Handling and labelling stored goods
Controlling and regulating oven temperature
Showing good organisation in his workload, prioritizing tasks.
Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the food service area.
Follow workplace health & safety procedures.

In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package 80K - 85K (Plus Super) and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in Asian/commercial cookery) and with 1 - 2 years of practical experience working as a Cook (Preferable – Italian/Contemporary Australian) will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, public holidays & late shifts).
