Direct Care Assistance is seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers to provide person-centred care to a participant living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Bundoora, Victoria.
This is an prospect to make a meaningful difference in a participant’s daily life by supporting their personal care, comfort, independence, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal care and repositioning.
Perform hoist transfers safely and appropriately.
Provide medication prompting as required.
Assist with meal preparation.
Provide light domestic assistance.
Monitor and accurately record urine output.
Assist with feeding and caring for the participant’s small dog.
Provide companionship and social support.
Maintain clear communication and accurate documentation.
Follow the participant’s care plan and organisational policies.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in disability support or aged care.
Practical experience with manual handling and hoist transfers.
Experience providing personal care.
Comfortable working in a home with a small dog.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, skilled, and compassionate approach to care.
Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records.
