DBC Cartage is seeking a Diesel Mechanic either workshop- or field-based, to join our team in Lilydale, Tasmania. This is a full time position where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vehicles are safe and roadworthy, allowing our operations to run smoothly.
What you'll be doing
Diagnosing, servicing and repairing diesel engines and components
Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers and other heavy vehicles
Performing inspections and identifying any faults or issues
Completing detailed documentation and maintaining accurate records
Assisting with the management of the workshop and parts inventory
What we're looking for
Robust knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics and repair procedures
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Current driver's licence
