We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering major transport, tunnel, and infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and delivery of critical electrical systems that support secure, reliable, and effective operation of complex infrastructure assets.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the design, development, and coordination of electrical systems across major infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on tunnel and power distribution systems. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to concept, detailed design, and project delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop:
Tunnel Lighting Systems
High Voltage (HV) Power & Distribution Systems
Low Voltage (LV) Power & Distribution Systems
Prepare electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
Conduct load flow, fault level, cable sizing, and power distribution studies.
Coordinate designs with mechanical, controls, civil, and structural engineering teams.
Participate in design reviews, safety assessments, and technical workshops.




Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and client requirements.
Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

About You
Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Experience designing HV and LV power systems within infrastructure, transport, utilities, or industrial environments.
Robust understanding of electrical distribution networks, protection systems, and tunnel electrical services.
Familiarity with Australian Standards and electrical design best practices.
Experience using power system analysis and electrical design software.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Road or rail tunnel projects.
Major transport or critical infrastructure projects.
Tunnel lighting and emergency power systems.
Substations, switchboards, and electrical distribution networks.
Renewable energy or utility-scale power systems.
