Senior Tax Manager - Step up to Director | Equity Pathway

Our client is a well-established and growing Sydney firm with a robust reputation across Australia, a very varied client base and a transparent growth plan. As the practice expands, they’re looking for a highly technical tax professional to help lead it, someone the Partners trust with complex questions and the team turns to for guidance. This is a genuine step up to Director for the right person, with the support and exposure to get there.

What you’ll work on
A broad mix of tax compliance and advisory work across a varied client base
Complex technical issues: researching, forming positions and writing advice
Reviewing work and making sure technical quality is high across the team
Tax accounting and reporting work
Working directly with Partners on the more complex engagements




Helping shape and grow the practice as the firm expands
Mentoring and developing the team, including internal training

About you
Senior Manager or Director-level experience in Australian tax
Technically strong and confident working from primary sources
Transparent communicator who can turn complex issues into practical advice
Enjoys mentoring and building a team
Ambitious, and interested in a long-term future with the firm
CA/CPA, with CTA or a Master of Taxation highly regarded
