Join the tight-knit crew at La Lah Cafe. La Lah has become the go-to place for brunch, lunch and cocktails in Dunsborough, and we have two positions available:
Sous Chef: permanent, full time
Chef de Partie: permanent or fixed-term, full time La Lah is a family-owned business with supportive owners aiming to deliver the best dining experience to locals and visitors. We're open 7 days from early morning to mid afternoon. Kitchen staff work a rotating roster with very civilised hours (no nights).

Duties
Receiving deliveries and dealing with suppliers
Understanding and maintaining quality standards
Following and adding to the recipe library
Allowing for special dietary and allergy requirements
Working on all stations
Understanding and implementing food safety and hygiene standards
Assisting the head chef with food costing and menu planning
Training and supervising junior kitchen staff
Sous Chef:



running the kitchen in the head chef's absence

Requirements
Sous Chef: at least 2 years' experience as a qualified chef, including supervising kitchen staff
Chef de Partie: at least 1 year's experience as a qualified chef
Both roles: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery as a minimum (Certificate IV or above preferred)
Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a quick-paced kitchen
Food Safety Supervisor certificate desirable

Salary: $79,450 - $80,000 per year plus superannuation, based on a 38-hour week.
