The Role
Your focus will be on following up outstanding school fees and working with families to establish practical payment arrangements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Following up outstanding fees and negotiating payment arrangements
Building relationships with families and handling sensitive payment conversations
Liaising with debt recovery agents and solicitors where required
Preparing debtor reports and updates for management
Completing general ledger reconciliations and maintaining accurate account records
Supporting bursary assessments and government funding reporting
Assisting with broader accounts receivable duties and finance team requirements
Your Background
To be considered for this Accounts Receivable Officer opportunity, you will bring:
Strong accounts receivable experience, particularly in credit control
Experience collecting large individual balances
Confident communication skills to negotiate payment obligations
A friendly, diligent approach with the confidence to handle challenging conversations
Confidence using Excel and computerised accounting systems
Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential financial information
Education industry experience will be highly regarded, although candidates from similar industries are encouraged to apply.
