Role Description
This is a full time hybrid Commercial role based in Canberra (work options from Melbourne and Adelaide). You’ll provide commercial, procurement and contract management support to a Defence capability program across acquisition and sustainment activities. Day-to-day tasks include:
planning and running procurements in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
drafting tender documentation and supporting tender evaluations
negotiating and administering contracts
managing contract changes, deliverables and payments
advising project teams on commercial risk and value for money
You’ll also support contractor performance management and ensure compliance with Defence commercial policy and the PGPA Act.
Qualifications
Current AGSVA Security Clearance
Demonstrated commercial, procurement or contract management experience within Defence or a Defence prime
Robust working knowledge of ASDEFCON templates, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Defence commercial policy
Experience managing the full procurement and contract life cycle, from approach to market through to contract closure
Solid negotiation, analytical and written communication skills
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CIPS, a Diploma or Certificate IV in Government Procurement and Contracting, or a degree in law or business) highly regarded
