The College is seeking a suitably qualified full time Japanese Teacher for Term 1, **** only in a leave replacement capacity - Years 7 - 11.
This position is a Contract position.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
Providing opportunities for student engagement through a variety of learning experiences where they are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence;
Providing students with positive role modelling as a committed Catholic educator;
Supporting students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in the course of studies;
Assisting the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum;
Positively contributing to the St Bernard's College teaching team;
Participating in extra-curricular programs; and




Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leader's and Deputy Principal.

The successful applicant will have ateaching qualification with current VIT registration anddemonstrate the following competencies:
Experience teaching Japanese Years 7 - 11
Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;
Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school;
Experience within a Catholic educational organisation an advantage.
