While the hospital has existed since the early *****s, the facility has continually been expanded to ensure modern services, and equipment are available to meet the needs of the community.
A redevelopment is currently underway at the hospital which will add a new 10-bed critical/intensive care unit, central sterile services department (CSSD), four operating theatres, a 30-bed inpatient ward, four additional operating.
**Your Role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital**We are seeking reliable and motivated **Casual Environmental Services Assistants** to join our team.
With flexible weekday and weekend shifts available across mornings and evenings, this is a outstanding opportunity to contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming hospital environment while working with a dedicated and supportive team.In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for cleaning patient rooms and common areas, undertaking discharge and infectious cleans, assisting with room set-ups, and providing delivery services across the hospital, including equipment, food, mail, and patient belongings.
Every shift plays an important role in supporting the care experience of our patients and visitors.
**Your skills and experience**You will have a strong awareness of health and safety requirements and the ability to apply these in a healthcare setting, along with excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented approach.
