Based in the Eastern suburbs this role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with three days in the office and the option to work from home.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insights and supporting effective financial management across a large and diverse organisation.
About the Role Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide high-quality financial advice, analysis and business partnering support to Directorates and Regions.
You will play an important role in supporting budget owners and business units to achieve their financial objectives, ensuring robust financial governance, compliance and effective financial management practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Partner with budget owners and stakeholders to provide financial guidance and value-add advice.
Monitor monthly financial performance, investigate variances and support month-end and year-end processes.
Manage and reconcile general ledger clearing accounts etc.
Review and prepare journals, financial reconciliations and reporting.
Provide advice on asset acquisitions and disposals, GST and financial compliance.




Support the development and improvement of financial processes, systems and frameworks.
Assist with incident finance activities at a regional level when required.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in a Finance Business Partner, Accountant or similar financial role (you do not need to be have CPA or CA.
Experience providing financial advice and partnering with stakeholders across a complex organisation.
A sound understanding of financial governance, compliance and accounting principles.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
Experience within government, emergency services or a large, complex organisation will be highly regarded.
You must have a police check, WWCC or willing to obtain.
