**About the role** We are seeking a friendly and reliable **Catering Assistant** to join our supportive Catering Team at **St John of God Richmond Hospital**.
This position offers a regular roster of approximately **12 hours per week**, with additional shifts available to support operational needs.
In this rewarding role, you will play an important part in delivering high-quality meal services to patients, caregivers and visitors.
Working in a fast-paced hospital environment, you will assist with food preparation, meal production and service while maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene and customer care.
We are looking for a flexible team player who can work a variety of shifts between 6:00am and 6:30pm, including weekends, and is willing to pick up extra shifts when required.
**Your skills and experience** You will bring a **Certificate in Safe Food Handling (or equivalent)** and practical experience in food handling within a busy food service workplace.




You will have a strong understanding of food hygiene and safety requirements, demonstrate excellent food handling practices, and possess sound knowledge of all aspects of kitchen hygiene to ensure a safe, clean and compliant workplace.
