The Role
The Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring the business meets all its tax obligations while providing practical tax advice across the organisation. Operating as a standalone role, you will be the key point of contact for Group Tax, the ATO and other regulatory bodies, driving compliance, planning and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and lodge annual income tax returns and quarterly tax instalments.
- Manage FBT returns, monthly BAS and payroll tax across multiple entities.
- Act as key point of contact for Group Tax, the ATO and State Revenue Office.
- Provide ad hoc tax advice to the business.
- Support month end, including tax effect entries, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and areas to reduce tax exposure.




- Monitor changes in tax legislation and share knowledge across the business.
- Review tax systems and processes, recommending and driving improvements.
- Support offshore tax reporting and ad hoc projects as required.

About You

- CA/CPA qualified, with a Masters in Taxation desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax roles.
- Proven experience in a large, fast-paced and complex setting.
- Thorough knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Confident operating autonomously in a standalone role.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- SAP, OneSource and GST reporting tool experience highly regarded.

Additional Requirements

- 6 month contract.
- Immediate start.
- Based in Melbourne’s south east.
