The Role & the Business

As a CA who can demonstrate steady longevity of employment with known commercial builders in Australia, you will be looking to work for the very best Builders in town. Self aware of your level and knowledge, you will be looking to gain further professional development as a CA as you work towards becoming a Senior CA.

Responsible for putting together solid scopes of work, tendering and letting trade packages, up front procurement and then taking the job into construction, it is envisaged you will have significant input in forecasting, preparing monthly cost reports and administering subcontracts throughout the duration of the project. As you progress, your Senior CA will work with you on your depth of understanding in Head Contract negotiation and management alongside assisting you in further developing your leadership capabilities.

The business are a household name in the industry and are a privately owned Tier 2 commercial construction business who deliver projects $25M - $180M across Sydney.



They will typically have in the region of 20-25 concurrent projects within their portfolio, many of which are negotiated or won through the ECI process.

They are a mature and level headed business - there is no arrogance within the business and they focus on the team collective believing this leads to the delivery of successful projects. Relationships are a primary focus for them - I have been working with them for 17 years as an example. They value their Subcontractors, Clients and Suppliers and see them as partners. They DO NOT approach their work with a focus to beat down their subbie base or get into litigation with clients.

If you want to become a leader in the industry - this is the place to work. I don't know any other Builder with so many internal appointments at Senior level who have been promoted from within.

Experience & Qualifications

- Three to six years of experience working as a Contract Administrator for a commercial builder.

- You will be humble, self aware of your areas for development & looking to further develop your career.

- Experience delivering new-build projects valued between $10 million and $100 million+

- Project experience across sectors such as schools, hospitals, offices, libraries, industrial facilities or aged care.

- Experience with commercial building projects rather than civil or rail projects.

- A strong employment history, with a demonstrated tenure of more than two years with previous employers and ideally three years or more.

- Experience with Tier 2 or Tier 3 builders is preferred.
