The opportunity
Recruitment Expert is partnering with a boutique audit practice in South Yarra to recruit an Auditor or Senior Auditor.
Join a small, collaborative team where you will have direct access to the director and experienced audit professionals, ownership of smaller engagements and support as you develop towards management responsibilities.

The firm’s diverse portfolio includes private corporates, foreign-owned entities, not-for-profit organisations, gaming venues, clubs and RSLs, alongside real estate and legal practices.

Your role
Working under an audit manager, you will manage smaller financial audit engagements from planning through to completion and contribute to larger, more complex assignments.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing audit files, planning documentation and risk assessments.
- Completing substantive testing, sampling and supporting workpapers.
- Managing smaller engagements and preparing complete files for review.
- Preparing management representation letters and completion documentation.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
- Addressing review points and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Managing deadlines and raising technical issues early.
- Using CaseWare and contributing ideas to improve audit processes.





About you
You will bring a minimum of three years of financial audit experience and the confidence to complete smaller engagements with limited day-to-day supervision.
You will also have:

- Sound technical foundations and the ability to identify financial reporting risks.
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
- Confidence building relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to questions, feedback and professional development.
- An interest in working across different industries and building a long-term audit career.

CA or CPA qualifications are valued but are not essential. Candidates completing their studies are encouraged to apply. CaseWare experience would be advantageous.
