About the role
As a result of continued growth, Finance Advisory Co is looking for an experienced
Permanent, Full-Time Senior Broker Assistant / Credit Analyst
to join our team in our Adelaide CBD office,
commencing February ****
.
This role is for an experienced broker support professional who wants to take ownership of the processing side of the business. You will work closely with our Mortgage Brokers, preparing credit assessments for their review and project managing applications through to approval and settlement.
Your work will be central to our growth. By supporting our Mortgage Brokers, you will free them to focus on meeting new clients and growing the business. For the right person, there is also a
pathway to progress to Mortgage Broker
.
You will work under the direction of our Mortgage Brokers, who remain responsible for all product and lender recommendations and for the advice given to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing credit assessments for broker review, including reviewing client financials, payslips, tax returns, business financials and bank statements
Reviewing and reconciling client living expenses and liabilities
Preparing serviceability and borrowing capacity calculations




Researching lender products and policy to assist the Mortgage Brokers with loan structuring
Communicating with clients to collect information and supporting documents, and keeping them informed throughout the process
Preparing finance applications for broker review and lodgement
Managing applications through to approval and settlement, and responding promptly to lender requests
Liaising with lenders, BDMs and third-party professionals including lawyers, accountants, financial planners and real estate agents
Maintaining accurate file notes, compliance records and documentation within our CRM and internal systems
What we are looking for
We are looking for a detail-focused finance professional with
experience in the mortgage broking or lending industry
who is confident managing files from application through to settlement.
To be considered, you must have experience in a mortgage broking, broker support, loan processing or credit role.
The following will be highly regarded:
A
Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
or
Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management
Eligibility to be authorised as a
Credit Representative
Current membership of, or eligibility to join, the
MFAA or FBAA
Experience using broker CRMs and aggregator software (e.g. ApplyOnline, Mercury, or similar)
You will also have:




Strong knowledge of the loan application process, lender policy and responsible lending obligations
Confidence preparing credit assessments and serviceability calculations
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
The ability to manage a high volume of applications, competing priorities and deadlines
A professional, friendly manner with clients, lenders and colleagues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence working independently while also contributing to a team
