Production Supervisors – Morning & Afternoon Shifts

About the Role

CLS is a commercial laundry plant processing up to 100 tonnes of linen per week, servicing the iconic Whitsunday Island resorts and mainland hotels.

We are seeking two driven and capable Production Supervisors to lead our morning and afternoon production teams in a fast-paced commercial laundry setting.

We have two full-time positions available:

- Morning Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm

- Afternoon Shift: 12:00pm – 8:00pm (penalty rates after 6pm)

- Must be available to work Saturdays during peak periods or opposite shifts on occasion to cover leave

- Shift hours may vary with production volumes

These roles are ideal for individuals with proven experience in high-production, manufacturing or warehouse environments who thrive under pressure, can manage changing priorities and know how to bring out the best in their teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily production activities to meet operational targets and quality standards.

- Provide hands-on leadership, direction and support to production employees.

- Monitor workflow, staffing and productivity to ensure efficient operations.

- Manage constantly changing workloads and competing priorities while keeping the team focused on production targets.

- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

- Ensure employees follow workplace safety procedures and operational standards.

- Communicate effectively with the Production Manager, fellow supervisors and other departments.

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and processes.

- Support the training,



development and performance management of team members.

- Ensure effective handovers between shifts to maintain production continuity.

About You

- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a high-production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.

- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to remain calm, organised and decisive under pressure.

- Experience managing competing priorities and changing workloads.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.

- Ability to motivate employees and maintain team accountability.

- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional Saturdays.

Pay Rates & Conditions

Base hourly rate: $30.06 plus applicable penalty rates.

- Monday to Friday under 7.6 hours (6am–6pm): $30.06 per hour

- Monday to Friday (before 6am or after 6pm): $45.09 per hour

- Saturday (first 3 hours): $45.09 per hour

- Saturday (after 3 hours): $60.12 per hour

- Sunday: $60.12 per hour

- Public Holidays: $75.15 per hour
