TEW Solutions is seeking an electrical or mechatronics graduate project engineer to be based at our Brendale office. We offer exciting projects in the water and wastewater industry that involve design, switchboards, control systems, site construction and commissioning.
The chance
Where you end up is a conversation, not a predetermined track. One of our Senior Project Managers started here as a graduate engineer seven years ago. If the technical side is where you want to head instead, we will support you toward RPEQ registration — we have RPEQ-registered engineers in-house who can provide mentorship on that journey. Where the work allows, you will get time across electrical, mechanical and controls rather than one corner of one project.
What you would be doing
- Coordinating design, delivery and commissioning alongside our project engineers and managers
- Supporting design review and offering field technical support for our site-based team
- Working on site with our crews on live water and wastewater infrastructure
What you need
- A degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- A genuine willingness to be on site, not only at a desk
Useful, not essential
- Vacation work or an undergraduate placement
- Any exposure to water, industrial or infrastructure work
What we offer
- Training committed in writing. Where we fund substantial training, it is agreed and signed before it starts — so you know what has been promised and so do we.
- Development decided with you, not for you. Where you head — delivery, technical, or deeper into a discipline — is agreed with you and supported by the business.
- Exposure across disciplines. Where the work allows, time across electrical, mechanical and controls rather than one corner of one project.
- A leadership team you will actually speak to. If something is wrong, there is a short path to someone who can fix it.
About TEW
TEW has engineered, built and maintained critical water and wastewater infrastructure across Southeast Queensland since 1992. This year we won the 2026 NECA Queensland Industrial Large Project award for a job that ran 53,000 hours, kept an operating treatment facility running throughout, and delivered 14 custom switchboards with full PCS-7 SCADA integration. That is the kind of work you would be joining.
