Our East Devonport depot currently has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and dependable Medium Rigid Multidrop Driver, in a casual role. This is a great chance to join a well-established and growing transport business where reliability, teamwork and customer service are at the heart of what we offer.

It is essential that you hold a valid Medium Rigid manual licence to be considered for this role. As a delivery driver, you are the frontline of our business, being an effective communicator, being courteous and polite with customers as well as providing prompt service is vital to the success of this role.

Although initial employment is casual, there is opportunity to transition into a full-time position after a successful probation period. We are offering a Monday to Friday role, so you get to enjoy your weekends. Shift start is 6:30am, and typically finishing between 2pm-4pm, depending on the delivery run. The MR trucks are fitted with a hydraulic taillift and are assigned an electric pallet jack and hand trolley to assist our drivers in completing their delivery run in a safe manner. An immediate start is on offer for the right applicant.





Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Delivering and collecting a mix of both pallet and carton freight, to residential and business addresses.

- 2 person deliveries with a fellow colleague when required.

- Load and unload your assigned vehicle.

- Completing deliveries with electronic scanners (on the job training provided).

- Ensure consignments are delivered accurately and on-time.

- Complete a daily vehicle pre-start each day.

- Maintain a standard of presentation, with both the vehicle and personally.

- Clear communication with the team.

To be considered for this role you will need:

- Medium Rigid licence or higher

- Forklift licence desirable

- Current National Police Check

- Willing to undertake a pre-medical

- Good geographical knowledge of the NW of Tasmania is desirable.

- Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Good literacy, time management and organisation skills.

- Physical fitness required as some manual handling/heavy lifting.

- Compliant with all WHS and company policies.
