About the role

Tennis Ranch is seeking a Tennis Stringer and Sales Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment, combining sales expertise with specialised tennis equipment knowledge. Based in Gladesville, NSW 2111, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service whilst providing our tennis stringing services. This position is perfect for someone passionate about sports retail and keen to develop further expertise in tennis equipment and stringing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Tennis Racquet Stringing & Technical Services

- Perform tennis racquet stringing services to a high standard, ensuring accuracy, consistency and attention to detail across all racquets.

- Provide professional advice and recommendations on string selection and tension to suit individual customer needs and playing styles.

- Manage the complete stringing process, including customer intake, recording string and tension specifications, processing orders and completing racquets within agreed timeframes.

- Conduct quality checks on completed racquets to ensure workmanship meet required standards.

- Maintain stringing equipment, tools and workspaces, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and the stringing area is clean, organised and safe.

- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge across tennis strings, racquets and related equipment.

Retail & Customer Service

- Provide knowledgeable sales assistance to customers purchasing tennis racquets, strings, accessories and other tennis-related products.

- Assist customers in selecting appropriate sporting equipment and provide informed recommendations based on their needs and preferences.

- Manage point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Process customer purchases,



stringing orders and enquiries, communicating clearly regarding service options and completion timeframes.

- Maintain the retail space to a high standard, including merchandising, replenishment, organisation and presentation.

- Assist with inventory management, stock control and general store operations.

- Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive, ongoing relationships with customers.

- Work collaboratively with the wider team to maintain high standards of service and support daily business operations.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in tennis racquet stringing, and a strong understanding of tennis racquet sports with a willingness to further develop professional stringing skills.

- A genuine passion for tennis and a strong interest in racquet technology, strings and equipment.

- Confidence in providing technical product advice and recommending appropriate stringing setups to customers.

- Previous retail sales or customer service experience, ideally within sports retail or a tennis-related setting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers.

- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity and a methodical approach to completing technical tasks.

- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship and service.





- Physical capability to lift and handle sports equipment safely.

- Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts as required.

- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.

- Importantly, the successful applicant must be comfortable undertaking both tennis racquet stringing and general retail responsibilities as part of their regular role.
