Manning Valley Free Range Eggs is a well-established, large and expanding poultry free range business seeking a Livestock Manager to join our farming operations in the Manning Valley and Hunter Regions of New South Wales.

As an integral part of the farming and management team, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:-

- Oversee the overall operations of the Layer farms

- Laise with and Oversee Rearing farms used by Manning Valley Eggs.

- Oversee and supervise Farm Managers and Maintenance Manager

- Poultry husbandry and production requirements

- Bird health and welfare

- Maintaining workplace health and safety

- Implementing and maintaining strict biosecurity protocols.

- Solid communication and basic computer skills

- Record keeping and reporting to monitor bird health and production

- Laise with vets to maintain bird health and reduce the risk of disease to the flocks

- Ensuring that the farms are always audit ready and compliant.

- Ensuring that all standards and legislation are adhered to

- Ensuring performance, quality and welfare are achieved.

- Current driver’s license

The following personal skills and attributes will be highly sought:





- Bachelor Degree in Agriculture or Tertiary qualification in Poultry Management

- Knowledge of Australian Eggs - Egg Standards of Australia would be desirable

- Experience in Livestock management and best practices

- Self-motivated

- Must be able to work both independently and responsibly.

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Demonstrate how to prioritise workload.

- Team building and effective communication skills.

- Hands on management

- High standard of house keeping

To be successful in this role you will need to have a clear understanding of the commitments required with livestock.

A remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate reflecting experience and qualifications.
