About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our transport team in a varied, multi-skilled role covering agitator, truck and dog, and general haulage work. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete, sand, aggregates and other bulk materials to residential, commercial, rural and civil sites throughout the region. This position requires a high level of responsibility, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused attitude on site.

Day to day,



your work may include operating agitators for concrete pours, driving truck and dog combinations (licence upgrade available) for bulk sand, gravel and aggregate cartage, carting raw materials to the batch plant, and assisting in duties with other Oberon based companies including another concrete plant, earthmoving and quarrying. Duties will also include daily pre-start checks, washing out and cleaning of drums, trucks and trailers, and general vehicle upkeep—reporting and assisting with minor fixes where necessary to keep the fleet safe, compliant and ready to go.

You will also need to be open to supporting other areas of the business, which may include assisting around the batch plant, loading, or yard duties when required. Training and support will be provided for any equipment or tasks that are new to you, so you’re confident and capable across the full range of work.

You’ll play a key role in keeping materials and concrete moving—working with concreters, builders, plant staff and dispatch to get loads where they need to be, on time and in the right condition, often on tight access sites, rural properties and active construction zones. This position offers ample opportunities for overtime and long-term growth.

Selection Criteria:

Experience and Skills:

- Proven experience driving HR (minimum)



thru MC-class vehicles, ideally including agitator/concrete truck experience (not essential).

- Sound knowledge of load restraint, mass limits, and chain-of-responsibility (CoR) obligations.

- Ability to reverse and manoeuvre heavy vehicles on tight, uneven and busy construction sites.

- Experience with manual gearboxes (road ranger) highly regarded (not essential).

Technical Proficiency:

- Competence in conducting pre-start checks and identifying minor mechanical issues.

- Understanding of concrete delivery basics—drum operation, slump, discharge and washout procedures (training provided).

- Familiarity with GPS, dispatch systems, delivery dockets and logbook/work diary compliance.

Teamwork and Communication:

- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with batch plant staff, dispatch, concreters, builders and customers.

- Friendly, professional manner on site—you represent Ever-Ready Concrete with every load.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

- Ability to assess site access and hazards, and manage risks during pouring and discharge.

- Flexibility to adapt to weather, pour schedule changes and time-critical deliveries.

Reliability and Work Ethic:

- Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility for product quality and delivery times.
