Maclean Partners has served North Queensland for more than 40 years, bringing accounting, tax and financial planning together under one roof. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our Townsville or Charters Towers office.

The opportunity
You’ll manage your own portfolio of business and individual clients, combining hands-on accounting and tax work with practical advice and ongoing relationship management. You’ll also review work and mentor our accountants, helping build their technical skills and confidence.

What you’ll do
- Manage your own client portfolio and build lasting relationships.
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and associated compliance work.
- Lead tax planning and business advisory discussions.
- Understand your clients’ needs and identify opportunities to provide support beyond compliance.
- Review team members’ work and provide clear, constructive guidance.
- Mentor our accountants and contribute to a collaborative team workplace.
What you’ll bring
- CA or CPA qualifications, or be nearing completion.
- 5 or more years experience in public practice.
- Strong accounting and taxation knowledge.
- Confidence communicating with clients and explaining technical matters clearly.
- The ability to manage priorities and take ownership of your work.
- An interest in supporting others and building your leadership skills.
