ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for individuals seeking shift work supporting TT-Line vessel operations in Geelong.

Specific duties for this role include loading and unloading the TT-Line vessels, (Spirit of Tasmania IV & V), operating terminal tractors, forklifts and other machinery, undertaking shipboard and wharf duties. Cargo handled includes motor vehicles, freight, machinery, and other general cargo.

The successful applicant will need to be prepared to work an irregular shift pattern with 24/7 availability and no set roster. Typical shifts are approximately four hours in duration. Given the short-notice, nature of the roster and shift lengths, candidates from Geelong and surrounding areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

- Full Manual driver’s licence
- Current Forklift Licence
- Experience working in a heavy industry environment
- Experience operating heavy machinery
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Demonstrated safety behaviours and experience
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to be versatile and adaptable to work in a demanding environment

HIGHLY REGARDED

- Truck License (HR, HC or MC)
- High Risk License including Dogging and/or Crane
- Trade Qualification
