Discovery Parks – TownsvilleLive and work in tropical North Queensland, where you can enjoy everything Townsville has to offer, from The Strand and fishing to mountain walks and a outstanding local nightlife.This is a busy, year-round property catering to a mix of approximately 70% workstay and 30% tourist guests, with around 90 rooms including motel accommodation, powered and ensuite sites, and guest facilities including a swimming pool and water park.Even better, onsite accommodation is provided, with a large, fully furnished three-bedroom apartment above the office, including a washer, dryer and dishwasher.
Pets are also permitted.The RoleThis is a great chance for a hands-on and supportive Assistant Manager who loves the industry and enjoys being involved across all areas of a busy operation.Working closely with the Park Manager, you'll help support the day-to-day running of the property and a team of approximately 20 people, getting involved wherever required to ensure operations run smoothly and guests have a great experience.This is a varied role suited to a flexible all-rounder who is comfortable working across both tourist and workstay operations.
The role includes after-hours/on-call responsibilities approximately 4–5 nights per week.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the Park Manager with the day-to-day running of the propertyLeading, supporting and motivating the onsite teamDelivering a high standard of guest serviceSupporting reception and general park operationsMaintaining strong presentation and operational standardsBeing hands-on and stepping in wherever requiredSupporting pool and kids' club operations as requiredParticipating in the after-hours/on-call rosterSkills & ExperienceWe're looking for someone who is supportive, flexible, hands-on and genuinely loves the industry.To be successful you will ideally have:Driver License - EssentialA current or ability to obtain a Working with Children CheckExperience within tourism, accommodation,
