Backed by $5.5 billion in joint government funding, the project is part of Queensland's infrastructure pipeline ahead of Brisbane **** and is now in design and preconstruction.About the OpportunityYou will lead environmental management on the project, reporting to the Project Director.
With the project in design and preconstruction, you will shape the environmental management plan and secure the approvals that keep construction on schedule.
You will guide Senior Environmental Advisors, Environmental Advisors and Coordinators, and work with the client, local authorities and the design team.
You will also coach the team and report environmental performance to project leaders.
You will own environmental compliance and influence how the work is delivered.Key accountabilitiesPrepare, implement and maintain the project environmental management planSecure environmental approvals,



licences and out of hours approvals ahead of worksLead and coach environmental advisors and coordinatorsMonitor compliance with contractual and statutory environmental obligationsPlan audits, inspections and monitoring across subcontractors and suppliersBuild strong relationships with the client and local environmental authoritiesReport on environmental performance and incidents, and drive corrective actionRequired Skills and CompetenciesWhat capability and experience will you need to have:Preferredrelevant tertiary qualificationsoperational experience applying environmental management in constructionWorking knowledge of erosion and sediment control plans and environmental systemsAbility to lead and mentor environmental professionalsClear communication with clients, authorities, subcontractors and consultantsAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work workplace where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
