This traineeship is built for school leavers who are ready to learn on the job.Your Arboriculture Traineeship at a Glance:Where: Depot based in Croydon, VICTeam: Tree Team withing a prominent Local Government CouncilLength: 24 months, earning while you learnStudy: Certificate III in Arboriculture through TAFEHours: Full-time, fortnightly RDO, compressed fortnightWhat You'll Actually Be Doing:You'll be working alongside a supportive team, getting a genuine behind-the-scenes look at how they operate.
Day to day, you'll:Get hands-on with tree maintenance, including pruning, cutting and removalLearn to assess trees and recommend the right remedial worksWork with your crew leader to keep materials like mulch, fuel and oil stocked so jobs run smoothlyReport on the condition of Council trees to your Team Leader and Works SupervisorOperate and maintain vehicles, plant and equipment safely, following OH&S; standards, legislation and Council requirementsWhat You'll Bring:You don't need experience, just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
We're looking for someone who is:Passionate for trees and an eagerness to learn arboricultureReliable and punctual, with positive organisational and time management skillsAble to clearly communicate with your team, supervisors and the communityAble to listen, take direction and put it into actionA team player who thrives in a small, close-knit crewAvailable to drive to the depot with their Driver's Licence, and their own vehicleWilling to obtain a White Card,
