Sharp & Carter are partnering with a well-established construction business to recruit a Finance Manager in a newly enhanced leadership role, as they undergo an exciting next phase of growth.This is an excellent, career defining chance for an experienced finance professional who enjoys operating close to the business, partnering with project teams, influencing commercial outcomes, with a desire to play a genuine part in building a scalable finance function underpinned by the support of a strong group function.Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the finance function while helping drive performance across a diverse portfolio of projects.You'll be responsible for providing both strategic and operational financial leadership across the business, combining financial control, construction accounting and commercial business partnering, offering broad exposure across project delivery/finance.We're looking for a high energy individual with the hunger to build something sustainable, and the desire to be here long term and become an integral pillar of the business.
You'll be someone who knows the value of structure, and the importance of ensuring harmony across financial/non-financial stakeholders to drive growth.You'll be backed by the directors and the group function all the way.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end processes, management reporting and balance sheet reconciliationsOversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementManage Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, project forecasting and revenue recognitionPartner with project managers to review project performance,



margins and financial risksSupport contract reviews, variations, claims and subcontractor agreementsMonitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve profitabilityManage compliance, statutory reporting and tax obligationsOversee intercompany accounting and broader corporate reporting requirementsDrive financial controls, governance and continuous improvement initiatives across the businessAd-hoc travel as requiredAbout YouWe're interested in speaking with commercially minded finance professionals who enjoy working in fast-paced project environments and partnering closely with operational stakeholders.
