AAU services 16 beds, admitting patients with, but not limited to general plastic, orthopaedic, colorectal and general surgeries.
Our patients are projected to have a *****hrs stay following assessment and treatment.
Further admitted days may result in intra-ward transfers for ongoing care.We are a unit that follows a Ward Governance structure:

In line with this,the clerical team memberwill be encouraged to communicate in harmony with the consumer, Nursing, Medical, Allied Health and Pharmacy team members.About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic ward clerk to join our team.
You will work under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Manager.
The Clerical team member is the first point of contact for our patients and visitors.
You will be responsible for maintaining excellent service delivery by improving the patient experience.
The role is responsible for but not limited to:Management of patient informationOrdering and management of medical/surgical consumables for the unitBuilding strong consumer relationshipsOrientating patients to our wardCollaborating with the Multi-disciplinary teamSupporting the team with non-clinical tasksAbout YouYou are a proven Ward Clerk or Administrative Officer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work.To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills,
