Secondary Design & Protection Engineer
As aSecondary Design & Protection Engineer in our Energy team basedin Perth,you'llcontributetoprojects and programs thatmake a real difference and be part ofateamthat embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.
Amongst other engineering tasks you will focus on
Delivering hands-on substation secondary designs and protection designs for transmission and distribution projectsUndertaking earthing studies and substation lighting design as part of coordinated electrical design packagesContributing to medium voltage (MV) distribution designs, working closely with other engineering disciplinesTaking ownership of technical designs and calculations,



with guidance and review from senior technical leadsFocusing on technical design delivery, with limited client-facing responsibilities
What you'll bring
Hands-on experience in substation design and protection systems at a senior engineerExperience leading and undertaking earthing studies, substation lighting design, with exposure to MV distribution designThe technical capability to own designs and calculations and collaborate with senior leads and multidisciplinary teamsExperience on Western Power, Pilbara or Power and Water (Northern Territory) projectsProject experience from resources clients would be desirable, along with wind or solar / renewables project experience
