Border Tiles is seeking an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis at our Albury, NSW location.
This is a hands‐on role where you'll be responsible for installing and finishing wall and floor tiles in residential and commercial projects.
As a skilled tradesperson, you'll play a crucial part in delivering high‐quality finishes that meet our clients' expectations and contribute to the reputation of Border Tiles as a leading provider of tiling solutions in the region.Key responsibilitiesMeasuring, cutting and installing ceramic, porcelain and stone tiles on walls and floors according to design specificationsPreparing surfaces by cleaning, levelling and applying appropriate adhesives and groutEnsuring tiles are laid to the correct gradient, particularly for wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchensGrouting tiles and applying sealants to ensure durability and water resistanceReading and interpreting plans and specifications to determine layout and design requirementsMaintaining a safe and clean work site, adhering to all health and safety regulationsUsing hand tools and power tools effectively and safelyCommunicating with project managers and clients to ensure work meets requirements and timelinesCollaborating with other tradespeople on construction sitesWhat we're looking forA recognised tiling apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications and substantial experience as a Wall & Floor TilerProficiency in working with a range of tile materials including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and glassStrong knowledge of adhesives, grouts, waterproofing and sealant systemsAccuracy and attention to detail, with an understanding of proper tile alignment and pattern layoutsPhysical fitness and the ability to work in various positions,
including standing and kneeling for extended periodsCompetence with hand tools and power tools specific to tiling workA current First Aid Certificate and relevant safety qualificationsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to quality workmanshipPreferred: experience in both residential and commercial projects, and familiarity with specialist tiling such as pool areas or wet roomsWhat we offerAt Border Tiles, we value our skilled tradespeople and offer competitive wages commensurate with experience.
