Nuevo Medical is looking for an experienced Allied Health Receptionist & Patient Services Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary medical centre in Bundall on the Gold Coast.
This role is specifically suited to someone who has worked in an Allied Health or multidisciplinary healthcare environment and is already comfortable managing the day-to-day administration that sits behind a busy clinical service.
You will be the central point of contact for our Allied Health patients and clinicians, supporting services across Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and Clinical Psychology, while also working closely with our General Practice and Cardiology teams.
This is not a generic reception role.
We are looking for someone who understands the flow of Allied Health — from receiving referrals and booking appointments through to billing, follow-up, rescheduling, patient communication and coordinating care across multiple clinicians.
Experience with Nookal would be highly regarded.

What you will be doing
Managing Allied Health appointment bookings, changes, cancellations and follow-up appointments
Coordinating patient schedules across multiple Allied Health disciplines
Receiving and processing referrals, including GP care plans and other relevant referral pathways
Ensuring patients are booked with the appropriate clinician and service
Managing reception and patient check-in/check-out
Processing billing and payments for Allied Health consultations
Managing Medicare, private billing and other relevant funding or payment pathways
Using Nookal to manage patient records, appointments, billing and clinician schedules
Following up referred patients and helping convert enquiries into confirmed appointments
Liaising closely with Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Psychology
Coordinating with Nuevo's GP and Cardiology teams where patients require multidisciplinary care
Managing phone and email enquiries in a warm, professional and efficient manner
Supporting recalls, follow-ups and ongoing patient care
Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative documentation
Helping improve reception processes and Allied Health workflows as the service grows
About you
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous Allied Health reception or administration experience.
Ideally, you will have experience with:
Allied Health appointment bookings and clinician scheduling




patient billing and payments
Medicare and care plan administration
referrals and patient follow-up
multidisciplinary clinics
managing multiple clinicians and treatment types
patient-facing reception in a healthcare environment
Previous experience using Nookal would be highly regarded.
Experience within Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Psychology or a multidisciplinary Allied Health practice would be a solid advantage.
You will also be:

Nuevo Medical is a growing multidisciplinary medical centre in Bundall bringing together General Practice, Cardiology, Allied Health and diagnostic services within one integrated environment.
Our Allied Health team includes Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and Clinical Psychology, with strong internal referral pathways across the broader Nuevo Medical patient base.
The role will be central to making sure Allied Health patients move smoothly through the clinic and that our clinicians are supported with efficient bookings, billing and administration.
We are looking for someone who already understands Allied Health and can take ownership of the front desk rather than needing to learn the fundamentals from scratch.
