You'll receive support from a school-based supervisor and a dedicated mentor throughout your traineeship.The program has been running for over 20 years and offers a supportive, nurturing environment where you can develop your technical knowledge, communication skills and confidence.Position details:Location: Schools across Western SydneyHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pmStart date: 30 November ****Employment: Full-time traineeshipQualification: Certificate III in Information TechnologyWhat You'll Be DoingLogging and recording IT issues through a ticketing systemHelping triage technology issues and track them through to resolutionCommunicating with school staff and students about IT issues and their resolutionAssisting with general IT maintenance and technical supportLearning about networking and supporting a large technology networkLogging and maintaining records of IT assetsDeveloping troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWorking alongside your school supervisor and dedicated mentorCompleting your Certificate III in Information Technology and associated trainingYou'll gain exposure to a large network and modern technology while developing practical skills that can help launch your IT career.Essential AttributesWe're looking for someone who is:A recent school leaverReliable, punctual and keen to learnWilling to develop new technical skills and take on challengesAble to follow instructions and work as part of a teamPrepared to complete the required training and qualificationDesirable AttributesThe following would be advantageous but are not essential:A genuine interest in computers, technology or IT supportGood verbal and written communication skillsExperience using computers, software or different technology systemsEnjoys problem-solving and working out how things operatePrevious work experience, including retail, hospitality or customer serviceOwn transport is an advantage but not essentialNo previous IT qualifications or professional experience are required.
