We are currently seeking a proactive minded and professional General Maintenance Person / Handyman to work at Charlestown Square, Part time.Our preferred candidate will be highly focused on Workplace Health and Safety, with a natural ability to relate well to customers and all stakeholders.
You will be able to work independently to attend to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Tasks, to respond efficiently to Non-Scheduled Maintenance Tasks and be able to collaborate with other services to deliver an exceptional guest experience.About the roleEssential to the role:Demonstrated experience in general maintenance/handyman type workYou must have or be prepared to obtain prior to employment a WHS General Induction ("White") CardYou must have a current (less than one month) or be prepared to obtain prior to employment a Police History Check.Key ResponsibilitiesExcellent Customer Service skillsLiaise with all StakeholdersA strong focus on safety in the workplace,



and a working knowledge of risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statements to operate without harm in a live retail environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfidence in skills ranging from minor painting, furniture repair and plastering among other thingsAn ability to maintain a safe working environment at all timesSound installation or repairs process implementationGood computer literacy and ability to formulate responses and updates to work requests via electronic reporting systemsDemonstrated ability to take ownership of service deliveryExcellent presentation, well-groomed and corporate-appropriateSound problem-solving skillsAbility to respond to emergency situationsParticipate in all required training & inductions sessionsAvailability to work one weekend day per month.
Weekend overtime available.
