It has a modern, high-capacity facility, industry-certified quality systems and a strong pipeline heading into the Brisbane **** build-out.The roleYou'll own tenders from drawings to submission, pricing supply, fabrication and erection packages accurately and competitively.
You'll:Complete steel take-offs and build up costs for material, fabrication, surface treatment, freight, cranage and erectionSource and assess supplier and subcontractor quotesPrepare explicit tender submissions and price variations on live jobsAttend tender meetings,
site visits and post-tender negotiationsWork with the Directors on bid/no-bid decisions, margin and riskHand over won jobs to the PM and detailing team with clean, well-documented estimatesAbout you3+ years estimating structural steel with a fabricator or fabricate-and-erect contractorConfident reading structural and architectural drawings and specsA solid understanding of fabrication, connections, surface treatment and erection methodsSharp numeracy and the commercial sense to know when a price is rightAble to juggle multiple tenders and hit deadlinesWhat's on offerA permanent role with a stable, long-established businessHigh-profile commercial and infrastructure projectsReal input into what the business bids on and how it's pricedA strong pipeline and long-term career security
